Looks like Back River will be back!

It is pouring from the heavens here on Eagle this morning, and the forcast for the entire Eagle drainage basin has an estimated 25-35mm of rain in the next 48hrs with showers to follow. That is great news! It should bring the river back to normal water levels again and make some of our high water honey holes, like 'Back River', fishable!
We seen a mix of action yesterday, with the evening ending off in great success. Guides reported that a fresh run of fish hit the river on last night's high tide and the last 1/2 hour of fishing was phenomenal! We had another Atlantic Salmon 'virgin' get his first one yesterday as well!
The action is slow this morning. We have come to learn that salmon sense what is going on with the river conditions much better than we can forcast it. This leads us to believe that the fresh run that came in last night has kept on moving, sensing the improving water conditions. That is not a concern, while the lunar cycle is at it's worst this weekend, fresh fish are still coming with every tide. Our guests are out there in the pouring rain, still with smiles on their face. I think everybody knows that what happened last night is just a taste of what is to come here on the Eagle!
