Tmrw is changeover day here at PFSL. This has been a fun week in our camp. We've been having a blast with friends and family. My 9yo with minimal time on the water (3hrs) hooked and landed a couple of feisty grilse. One last Sunday, and another on Tuesday. Fishing has been slow but not at all impossible. Time and skill play a big role. Lori & Aubrey have been here this week all the way from BC. They both managed to hook up while Aubrey's encounter was brief, Lori landed her catch and tagged for a meal in camp. They are both first time fly fishers so well done to them! I will forever remind Aubrey that he was outfished by my 9yo son, and his wife! Ha! All in good fun. My easy going cousin was just as inclined to relax and take in the beauty of the river, watching others fish, and share a few stories back and forth with guide, Hedley.

Friends Dave and Ian put in a little more effort and with expert skill held a 2.5 CPUE over the past 10 days. Great numbers for this time of year especially considering the runs have been early. Dave's skill is unbeaten, so this is tough fishing, but we have seen a few sessions that were good. Today, they hooked up with a few grilse and 2 large!

The river condition is very good. Water level is getting on the low side, but the temp is excellent at 16-17c (62F) today. The forecast is also good with cool to moderate temperatures and small shots of rain over the weekend. The conditions should hold up well for the next group. Hopefully the fish keep coming in and make some salmon magic.
