High water!!

Wow, the spring break up was an impressive one! Our lodge sits quite high on the river banks of the Eagle in an area not prone to ice damming...and thank goodness it does! Eagle river rose to a roaring 6.3m this spring and was only about 3 feet from going over the river bank at the lodge. We lost our steps to the beach, but have plans to get more in place as soon as the river settles enough to navigate. The falls were not even falls this year, moreso just a raging chute.
We are looking forward to a great season this year. Due to medical reasons our veteran guide, Al will not be with us this year. We wish him well with his recovery and welcome another veteran guide, Bob, to fill his place.
Less than a month now! We can't wait to see salmon, and hope you join us to take part in our incredible fishery this year. Wherever you wet lines, be sure to get the most out of your angling time. A sure way to do that is involve your family and friends and always be a responsible angler who shows respect for the resource and your fellow anglers. Tight lines!
