The Eagle River is has been touted as one of the Best Atlantic Salmon Rivers in the world.
It has been proven once again. Among our guests we have nine new anglers who have never fly fished before yesterday.
We are very pleased to tell you that they have all hooked and landed fish.
Where else in the world can a group of anglers who have never cast a fly before land an Atlantic Salmon on their second day on the river. In most cases more than one fish were landed.
Anyone who has fished the Eagle at this time of year can tell you the same thing.
I have asked many returning veterans why they come to the Eagle year after year and the response is always very similar.
They all indicate that while they have all fished on other rivers that claim to be "The Best" the action on the Eagle River is unmatched.
We have been keeping statistics on the number of fish that have been hooked by our guests. At the end of the season we will analyze the data and we are very confident that our findings will indeed prove our claims.
Water levels continue to fall with only showers in the forecast.
