They're Still Coming

The fishing on the Lower Eagle is still good. I can personally confirm that fact. I haven't had much time to fish during the past 2 months but yesterday I took the opportunity to try my luck up at Back River.
I was only there for 2 minutes when I saw the first one rise. Unfortunately I was not able to get it to accept any of the patterns that I offered.
Disappointing yes; but when I moved downstream about 5 Meters the story was a little different. I managed to hook and land a fine Grilse. It gave me a nice little show before surrendering.
Of course; when you successfully hook a fish you do want to try the same location again. It worked! In less than 5 minutes I was into my second Grilse. Again I received a little show.
I'm not sure when I'll get the chance to try again, but you can be sure that I will be trying.
The water level rose again yesterday, and the fish are still moving through. With no precipitation if the forecast for the next week we expect the river to drop by about a foot by early in the week and the fishing should pick up significantly by then.
