We fished both Eagle and White Bear rivers from Aug 29- Sept 8, and while the weather was challenging with the tail of Hurrican Dorian flying through, there were still fish to be caught and nice weather moments poked in there between nature's fury! Rivers were already high, and Dorian's rain brought them up more. and with a few frosty nights the river water temps were in the low 50's F.
With 4 rods fishing part time we managed to still get a few fish and the group had a CPUE of .98, nearly a fish a day per person overall. Pretty good for Sept given that a lot of folks think our season ends in Mid August! That is simply not the case and we are out to prove that late August and Sept are worth the venture to Labrador. It has perks like cooler temps, near exclusive access to all the pools and a nice mix of large and grilse still fresh arriving to the rivers. The added bonus of the sea run brook trout coming back is a nice perk as well. An even bigger perk...We're offering guests the chance to fish these dates for 20% off our regular rates. Obviously, we want you to get your feet 'Wet' in the latter part of our season and experience what we as owners and livyers have been experiencing for years. Give it some thought, and get in touch with any questions or if you are interested in booking. Just being here in late August and Sept is awesome. The fact that we have fish is a bonus!!
