Yes, The Eagle River report is on and our game is on for another year here at Pratt Falls Salmon Lodge! We have been testing the waters the last few days and there are some beauty large salmon in the river and while the fishing is not great yet, we have had some blood pumping action! Conditions are tough with few pools formed up due to the very high water, but it is falling fast. Our first full group arrive today and we are excited about that.
We would also like to welcome aboard two new staff members. Gertie Genge has taken over in housekeeping after Marj's well earned retirement. Wilson 'Sonny' Williams joins us on the guiding team, replacing Bob who is also enjoying retirement and would you know it... Bob is gone fishing abroad!! Sonny is a native of Rigolet, Labrador and is an avid outdoorsman. He has years of big game hunt guiding in Quebec and was the first of our staff to hook up a salmon just yeaterday. So we figure he's got skills or incredible dumb luck! Welcome aboard of this awesome ship we sail, Gertie and Sonny!
Folks, stay tuned to the Eagle River Report this season to see all things Eagle River. We'll post the odd picture and make some our guests internet sensations. Viral superstars!! Well, maybe not but their friends and family and a few die hard anglers will enjoy it.
