Double Trouble

Our anglers are having a blast. We had reports of numerous hookups dispite the rising water levels.
Our only lady angler was extremely happy when she relayed her story of the large salmon she hooked. When I asked her if it was a big fish she told me "It was Huge". To say she was beaming with excitement would be an understatement. I spoke to her guide Ron about it and he estimated the salmon to be at least 16lbs (7.25kg). Nice fish!
A couple of our other guests relayed their story of a double header. It started with one of them hooking into a large salmon that didn't take kindly to being hooked. The fish made a run and took him into the backing not just once or twice but four times. While he was struggling with the fish his partner also hooked into a large salmon. This is the first double by our guests for the season. It was a great moment.....but....it didn't end well. Lets just say that somewhere on the river is this large salmon and ....a brand new flyline.
The river is still rising, but not as much as it has been for the past couple of days. There is more rain in the forecast but hopefully it won't affect the water level too much and the pools will form up and get back into what we refer to as "Good Order".
Just a note to our next group of guests. We recommend that you bring appropriate footwear because the current water level makes it impossible to get in and out of the Pratt's boats without stepping into the water.
