Trip Concludes For Second Group
Posted 12 July 2013, 7:08 am NDT
Well this week has quickly come to an end, with this group loving the fishing action that they have enjoyed of the past week.
All of our guests have enjoyed their stay and are talking about returning whenever we can accommodate them. This is starting to get a little challenging with rod spaces for next season filling up very quickly.
Our current guests tell us that they averages about 40% large fish which is normal this early in the season. They have many stories to tell; such as the one that was hooked in Governors and Nelson had to pull anchor where they were finally able to land it in the cove below Governors. (Yesterday's Blog photo.)
Of course everyone has been looking at the blog checking to see how our young anglers made out. Well just let me tell you they had a tremendous time. They freely admit that it may never see fishing action again like they experienced this wee.
Of course we do have to report one casualty during the week. Remember that little 5 wt rod that one of the guests was using earlier in the week. Well; as we predicted; it didn't survive. The owner was still smiling because he had so much fun landing large salmon on it during the week. He felt it was quite ironic that it would break on a grilse.
