Happy Canada Day!

Well yesterday was a fairly good day for our anglers. Many hook-ups again with most being Large Salmon.
Co-owner Mitch Fong arrived yesterday afternoon and had a very productive evening at the Beach fishing to Elephant Rock. He had hooked 4 fish in the 2 or 3 hours before sunset. Early reports this morning suggest that he will have another very successful day today.
He showed me a picture of a beautiful Salmon that he landed which was about 16 lbs (over 7 Kg). I will attempt to post the picture a little later.
I heard him say that it was about 32 inches (over 80 cm) long and almost 8 inches (20 cm) from it's back down to it's belly.
A couple of other anglers reported getting fish that were about the same size.
It doesn't seem that the fish are holding well in the pools but once they move up-river they are replaced by the next group that come up river.
Everything is shaping up on the river with fish being for the first time this year in some of the prime pools. This is looking like another great year for our anglers.
