The Last Of Our Rookies Catches First Salmon
Posted 26 July 2012, 10:44 am NDT
As the river keeps dropping to it's best fishing level the number of fish being hooked increases.
The last of our rookie anglers hooked 2 grilse yesterday and anglers had continued success despite the showers that persisted all day.
This was confirmed again before breakfast this morning with one of our anglers landing a couple of the healthiest grilse that I have seen this season. They were truly beautiful fish that were very thick down through.
This group of guests left this morning and we are looking forward to their return again next season.
Tomorrow our next group of anglers arrive and they can expect to have some hot action. Water level and temperature are excellent and there will not be as many anglers on the river competing for the pools.
